Sunday Night at the Beach 2017: The Misty and Foggy Edition

It was a very rainy week here, solid wetness for days on end.  I’m not complaining.  It really can’t rain too much for me.  Even when we had our big flood a few years ago, I still loved the rain.  I really enjoy precipitation in all forms, actually.  We headed to the Rocky Beach in between rain showers.  It was misty, and drizzling, and the fog was rolling in and out.  Even though it was damp and chilly, there was not a lot of wind, so it did not feel raw and  cold like our previous two trips to the beach on Sunday Night.

Dr. Peds was working, and Mr. SP was still sleeping off the effects of a slumber party earlier in the weekend, so it was just some of us spending a little time on the shore after we picked up The Banana from choir.  Although we would have loved to have stayed longer, we had to head back after about 45 minutes because it was a school night.  But, summer is coming soon, and then our beach nights will get much longer!

Mr. TOF loves to break the rocks and make puzzles with the pieces.

The leaves are just starting to come out!  They are so pretty and fresh.

Gentle Ballet.

Evil Ballet.

It was the perfect night to search for sea glass, because there had been some big waves the day before, and hardly anyone had been out to the beach because of all the rain.  The Banana found several pieces.

It turned out that we had to do a bit of measuring to settle a discussion about who was actually taller.  I’m afraid YaYa doesn’t have much time before another sibling is going to pass her by.  She’s on track to be the shortest person in the family.  Her days are numbered.
