Royalty at the Rose Garden

Last Friday YaYa had a dance recital, and our neighbors half way down the street came along for the performance.  I had to drop her off about an hour and a half before the performance, so we headed to our absolute favorite pizza place, Vitta Pizza.  It did not take long for four kids and myself to consume three small pizzas, so we had some time to spare, and decided to head over to the Rose Garden for a little bit.

Instantly upon arriving they all rushed off to play pretend.  I’m not exactly sure what this pretend game was, but it involved royalty, servants and maybe some horses?  I don’t know.  I do know that they were having SO much fun interacting with the pristine setting, rushing back and forth between the dome gazebo, the fountain, and dashing around hedges, because the rose garden really does feel like the garden of a castle.

It was hard to leave to go the dance recital, but we enjoyed that too.
